ISIVC 2012, Valenciennes, July 4-6, 2012

The sixth edition of the International Symposium on signal, Image, Video and Communications will take place in the University of Valenciennes, France on July 4-6, 2012. During last years ISIVC has become an important event in the areas of digital signal, image, video processing and communications. Prospective authors, both academic and industrial, are invited to exchange their latest research, ideas and developments in all areas of fixed and wireless communications.

H. Miller and S. Roux, two new post doctorates in CISIT for one year

Two new postdoctorans were recruited from goals 2 and 3 of cisit. They joined the LML (Laboratoire de Mécanique de Lille) and the LAMIH (Laboratoire d’Automatique, de Mécanique et d’Informatique industrielles et Humaines) teams for one year.

CISIT on the "Sustainable Tansportations" technology park of Valenciennes

A new cisit building based on the "Sustainable Tansportations" technology park of Valenciennes should be completed by end 2012.

ITST 2011, Saint-Petersburg, August 23-25, 2011

Cisit attended the 11th International Conference on Telecommunications for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITST-2011) was held in Park Inn Pulkovskaya, St. Petersburg, Russia from August 23 to August 25, 2011.

This conference aimed to accelerate research progress by serving as a forum to in which both academia and industry can share experiences and report original works regarding all aspects of vehicular communication, e.g., Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs), information dissemination, road safety, ITS and emergency services. The primary goal was to promote meaningful research in the cross-layer design of architectures, algorithms and applications for inter-vehicular communication environments.

3rd International conference on Impact Loading of Lightweight Structures  

The team Crash, Comfort and Safety - Laboratory of Industrial and Human Automation control, Mechanical engineering and Computer science (LAMIH) at the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis (UVHC) - will host the 3rd international conference on Impact Loading of Lightweight Structures. The conference is a continuation of the conferences held in Florianapolis (Brazil) in 2005 and in Trondheim (Norway) in 2008.

WCRR 2011, Lille, May 22-26, 2011

CISIT participated in the 9th edition of World Congress on Railway Research which has closed its doors at Lille Grand Palais on 26 may last.

After Seoul in 2008, Montreal in 2006, Edinburgh in 2003, Köln in 2001, Tokyo in 1999, Firenze in 1997, Colorado Springs in 1996, and Paris in 1994... the WCRR has finally returned to France.

CISIT Annual Report 2010

During the year 2010, a large number of results and scientific advances were obtained in all the 9 tasks of Cisit. A selection of these results is presented here. A summary has also been draw up for each task to summarize the main highlights and the results impacts.

JEC Innovation Awards 2011 : CrayValley and their partners (CREPIM) rewarded for their composite innovations

JEC Composites is announcing the new winners of the JEC Innovation Awards Programme 2011. This year, 14 companies and their partners will receive awards at the JEC Composites Show (March 29-31, 2011). The programme was created in 1998 with the goal of promoting innovation. Each year, a jury of renowned international experts chooses the best composite innovations, based on their technical interest, market potential, partnership, financial impact and originality.

Partner of the CrayValley company rewarded in the category "Materials", the CREPIM contributed to the development and to the qualification of the new composite. Its contribution is fully integrated within the CISIT framework (Goal2/Task2.1: Reliable and safe materials and structures) by improving the fire safety in ground transportation.
